Well, it seems like there are only a few thousand people in the country that think it is worth talking about what we lose by having Habeas corpus denied us. I have tried to discuss it with a number of people and just about everyone doesn’t think it will impact them. I hope they are right, but the unconcerned attitude at the loss of a basic right that set us apart from the very enemies we are fighting scares me. Granted I have not paid much attention to such things in the past but we are now losing rights that the founders of this nation thought important enough to put in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Things they considered to be “self-evident” and “inalienable” for all; not just Americans. Well, there are some very interesting comments in this digg post.
